PAROTITIS, MUMPS

In case of inflammation of the salivary glands e.g., as a result of mumps.

Ingredients

Barium iodatum D6 3.33 g, Belladonna D6 3.33 g, Pulsatilla D6 3.33 g. Non-medicinal ingredients: ethanol, purified water.

Description

Mode of action
With different action focus, they influence the course of a simple inflammation of the salivary glands.

Barium iodatum: Histiotropic effect on lymphatic system. Induration and hypertrophy of the lymphatic glands are part of the drug picture.

Belladonna: Anti-inflammatory and antipyretic; the main symptoms are, among others, sudden febrile inflammations of various organs with heat, redness, swelling.

Pulsatilla: Organotropic effect on the mucous membranes and on the reproductive glands; orchitis, ovaritis caused by mumps.

50 ml

Dose

Adults and children ≥ 12 years 5-10 drops 3 times daily; acute cases: 5-10 drops daily up to a maximum of 12 times daily, in a little water or undiluted, or as directed by a health care practitioner.

Potential side effects/Safety

• Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen.
• Not to be administered without prior medical consultation in case of diseases of the thyroid.
