Nevaton Forte contains St. John's Wort, Schisandra, Skullcap and Saffron.

Used in Herbal Medicine as an adaptogen to help increase resistance to stress.

Ingredients

Hypericum perforatum (St John’s Wort) herb top 6:1 extract DHE 750mg
Schisandra chinensis (Schisandra) fruit 6:1 extract DHE 675mg
Scutellaria lateriflora (Skullcap) herb top 1:2 extract DHE 500mg
Crocus sativus (Saffron) stigma 3:1 extract DHE 22.5mg

Description

Nevaton Forte contains St John’s Wort, Schisandra, Skullcap and Saffron. These herbs provide a wide range of phytochemicals including the naphthodianthrones hypericin and pseudohypericin (hypericin), flavonoids, phenolics, dibenzocyclooctene lignans, sesquiterpenes, monoterpenes and other compounds. The St John’s Wort component of this tablet is standardised to contain 375 mcg of hypericin tablet to ensure optimal strength and quality.

Adults: 1 tablet 3-4 times daily or as directed by your health care practitioner. Use for a minimum of 1 week to see beneficial effects. Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 18 weeks.

Potential side effects/Safety

May cause hyperesthesia in some sensitive individuals especially when combined with a high exposure to sunlight. St John's Wort is not advisable in cases of known photosensitivity. Patients taking higher doses should avoid excessive exposure to sunlight and UV radiation. St John's Wort affects the way some prescription medicines work. Concurrent administration of high doses of St John's Wort is contraindicated with the following drugs: warfarin, digoxin, cyclosporine, indinavir (HIV protease inhibitor), nevirapine (HIV non-nucleoside transcriptase inhibitor), phenprocoumon, cancer chemotherapeutic drugs such as irinotecan and calcium channel antagonists such as verapamil. Caution is advised in patients taking anticonvulsants, combined oral contraceptives, theophylline, SSRIs (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors), antihistamines, benzodiazepines and simvastatin. It is possible for St John's Wort to interact with amitriptyline and advisable to monitor patients taking this medication. Schizandra is contraindicated in pregnancy, except at birth. Discontinue 7 days prior to general anesthesia.
