Medicinal Ingredients (per capsule): Iron (ferrous bisglycinate chelate) (Ferrochel) 28 mg Vitamin C (calcium ascorbate/ascorbyl palmitate) 100 mg. Non-Medicinal Ingredients: Vegetarian capsule (hypromellose, water), hypoallergenic plant cellulose.

Description

Iron Plus Essentials is an iron-based supplement formulated to support red blood cells in effective transport of oxygen and ferritin in the body. Ferrochel™ brand iron bis-glycinate was developed using a unique patented process, allowing it to be absorbed rapidly and then released for transport throughout the body. The intestinal mucosal tissue tightly controls the release of Ferrochel™, supporting the safety profile of this iron amino acid chelate. In a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial, iron supplementation supported healthy ferritin levels as well as enhanced energy and well-being in female subjects. This formula includes buffered vitamin C (as calcium ascorbate) to help enhance the absorption of iron.
