Indications

Calendula is traditionally used in Herbal Medicine to aid in wound healing and to help relieve skin inflammations and irritations. Temporarily protects the skin and helps relieve minor skin irritation and itching.

Ingredients

Medicinal Ingredients: Calendula officinalis (Calendula flower) 2.5%, Calendula officinalis (Calendula extract) 1.1% (1:5, equivalent to 0.22 g), Olea europaea (Cold-Pressed, Extra-Virgin Gargano Gold® Olive Oil) 17.8%

Non-medicinal Ingredients: Aqua (Purified water), Aloe vera extract, Commiphora myrrha extract (Myrrh), Symphytum officinale extract (Comfrey), Liquid whey protein, Vegetable glycerine, Tocopheryl acetate (Vit. E), Glyceryl stearate, Cetyl alcohol, Stearic acid, Xanthan gum, Citric acid, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl glycol, Potassium sorbate.

Description

Used topically to aid in healing abrasions, bedsores, cracked heels, chapped hands, cuts, varicose veins, venous congestion, and surface wounds, our Calendula Vitamin E Cream is one of a trio of topical products that feature calendula flower, a herb with the most convincing credentials when it comes to dealing with skin problems and the infections that often accompany them. In this case, the certified organically grown calendula flowering tops are combined with other supportive herbs and highlighted by the addition of vitamin E, which plays a signal role as an antioxidant, helping to stabilize and repair cell membranes. All these ingredients are then infused in extra-virgin olive oil.

Research indicates quite compellingly that calendula is indeed very effective for skin conditions, speeding and enhancing the healing process. Not surprisingly, studies have shown that this herb has antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties.

The great thing about calendula is that it actually promotes tissue regeneration, which makes this a truly outstanding product.
