Indications

The primary action of this formula is to safely and naturally reduce and control cholesterol levels.

Ingredients

Medicinal Ingredients per 1 capsule:
Olea europaea (Free Plant Sterols)… 370mg
Niacin (Inositol Hexanicotinate) … 250 mg
Monascus purpureus-fermented Oryza sativa (Red yeast Rice)… 100 mg
Saccharum ocinarum (Policosanol) …5 mg
Folate (Folic Acid) … 100 mcg

Non-Medicinal Ingredients: Hypromellose (vegetarian capsule shell), Oryza sativa (Rice) Powder.

Description

Policosanol is a collective term for the mixture of eight or nine higher aliphatic primary alcohols (long-chain alcohols) isolated from sugar cane wax. The most prominent member is a molecule called octacosanol. A number of studies have demonstrated that policosanol, provides similar cholesterol lowering benefits to those of statin drugs and, in addition, raises HDL levels.

Red Rice Yeast is a traditional food of Southeast Asia and a natural source of lovastatin. Statins are a group of compounds commonly used in prescription cholesterol-lowering drugs and include lovastatin, pravastatin and simvastatin. They target an enzyme called HMG-CoA, essential for the normal production of cholesterol in the liver.

1 capsule in the morning and 1 capsule in the evening with food.

Potential side effects/Safety

Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking Hydroxymethylglutaryl (HMG) CoA reductase (“statins”) lipid lowering/cyclosporine medications, anti-coagulants or anti-platelet drugs; su er from liver/kidney disease or have received an organ transplant. Discontinue use of the product and consult a health care practitioner if you experience muscle pain, tenderness and/or weakness. Consult a health care practitioner if youare unsure whether or not you are taking enough Vitamin B12 since Folic acid supplements can mask a Vitamin B12 deciency. Red yeast rice may cause allergic reactions in some individuals. Do not use if security seal is broken.
