Description

Camu camu is an Amazon shrub that has the highest amount of vitamin C compared to any other herb and also has some of the highest phenolic content of any fruit. These include flavonoids, carotenoids, anthocyanins, quercetin and kaempferol, tannins like ellagic acid, stilbenes, lignans and rosmarinic acid. This rich antioxidant substance can help decrease inflammation, reducing the risk of various inflammatory diseases like diabetes, heart disease and cancer.
