Ingredients

Each tablet contains:
Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) : 1000 mg

Citrus bioflavonoids 50 mg
Carbohydrate gum [cellulose ], microcrystalline cellulose, hydroxypropylcellulose, stearic acid, hesperidin, dibasic calcium phosphate dihydrate, coating (carbohydrate gum [cellulose ], glycerin), vegetable grade magnesium stearate (lubricant), silica.

Description

Vitamin C is a powerful vitamin with infection-fighting properties that plays an important role in immune system function. Vitamin C is crucial for the formation of collagen, making this vitamin very important for wound repair, healthy gums, strong bones and teeth, and the prevention of bruising.

As a powerful antioxidant, it protects the aqueous areas of the body (including the blood, intracellular fluid and interstitial fluid) from free radicals. Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin, which means the body cannot store it. This makes regular supplementation vital.

Natural Factors Vitamin C 1000 mg timed-release tablets are designed to gradually release their contents over an 8-hour period. This formulation also contains citrus bioflavonoids for added antioxidant protection, as well as increased benefits together with vitamin C.

Bioflavonoids have been shown to improve the absorption and therapeutic action of vitamin C and protect vitamin C from oxidation in the body, allowing the body to reap more benefits from the vitamin.
