Ginger 25:1 extract (
Zingiber officinale
) (rhizome) : 20 mg

Description

Natural Factors Chewable Ginger is a concentrated 25:1 ginger extract delivered in naturally sweetened, sugar-free chewable tablets.

Ginger helps prevent nausea and vomiting associated with motion sickness and postoperative nausea. It is traditionally used in herbal medicine to help relieve digestive upset, including lack of appetite, nausea, digestive spasms, indigestion, dyspepsia, and flatulent colic (carminative). This multi-purpose ingredient is also traditionally used in herbal medicine as an expectorant and cough suppressant to help relieve bronchitis, coughs, and colds.

Many people struggle with motion sickness or seasickness and various indigestion symptoms. Ginger rhizomes contain naturally occurring phenols and volatile oils, which have long been recognized for their targeted effects within the digestive tract. These compounds do not cause drowsiness and have shown minimal side effects throughout ginger’s historical use.

Chewable Ginger is standardized to contain 5% gingerols, the key bioactives responsible for many of ginger’s benefits. Each chewable tablet provides the equivalent of 500 mg of ginger and is deliciously sweetened with xylitol and stevia. This formula is non-GMO and suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Recommended adult dose: Chew 2 tablets daily or as directed by a health care practitioner. < br >
For anti-nausea use: take a single dose 30 minutes before travel and optionally every 4 hours as necessary. < br >
For post-operative nausea: take 1 hour prior to surgery, or as directed by a health care practitioner. < br >
Menstrual pain/cramping (adults): Chew 3 tablets daily or as directed by a health care practitioner. Take 2 days before menses and during days 1 to 3 of menses.
