Therapeutic actions: • Ulmus campestris (Elm) bark was formerly considered as a panacea for skin problems. The bud has a similar therapeutic profile. • Great drainer of the skin, Ulmus campestris has an action on oozing, vesicular, inflammatory not yet infected eczemas. • It provides kidney drainage that has an effect on the skin. It is an important skin drainage remedy. Its main indication is for the skin, which it detoxifies in depth. Those types of cutaneous reactions are described by many as the ability of the body to transfer organic problems towards the skin in the form of eczema, diarrhea, leucorrhea or any other bodily discharge (this is not a suppressive action but a detoxification; when enhanced by the remedy, it will detoxify more intensely and completely, hence solving the apparent problem. • With this cutaneous activity it detoxifies the body from the inside and helps reduce uric acid and cholesterol. • Transitional remedy frequently used in association.
Clinical indications: • Skin: Great for all types of eczemas - wet-weeping / dry / vesicular, inflammatory (non-infected). Inflammatory dermatosis (acne, boils, furonculosis, impetigo, herpes 1 & 2). Diaper rash. Chicken pox. Tinea (all types). Hyperhydrosis. • Uro-genital: Acts mainly on the urogenital system since it remineralises the body, solves the problems of gout, eliminates leucorrhea and relieves rheumatism. Psoriatic arthritis. • Digestive: As for the bark, the buds stop diarrhea.
Consider in combination with: • Betula pubescens, for weeping eczema • Juglans regia, for infectious eczema • Ribes nigrum, for eczema • Rosa canina, for recurrent herpes

Dose
Adults and children > 12 years • Depending on the patient and the problem being treated, 5-10 drops daily are recommended. • To start with, 5 drops should be taken; this dose can be increased by one drop daily to reach a maximum of 15-20 drops daily, until the required and stable result is acquired. The dosage is then maintained for the remainder of the treatment period. • The length of the treatment depends on the health problem and the gemmotherapy remedy used. Normally it is recommended that the treatment be continued for three (3) months. The treatment should last for a minimum of three weeks and can be repeated several times, allowing for example a treatment-free week between each course. • One or two remedies, the most applicable, can be combined; more are not usually necessary. However, the complexes have the advantage of combining several extracts in one formula, thus facilitating the treatment. A complex may, if considered necessary, be combined with another complex or individual bud extract.
