Each vegetarian capsule contains:
Celery extract 15:1 (Apium graveolens) (seed) : 75 mg
(Standardized to 80% 3-n-butylphthalide calculated as total phthalides)

Vegetarian capsule (carbohydrate gum [cellulose ], purified water), rice powder, vegetable grade magnesium stearate (lubricant).

Description

Celery seed (Apium graveolens) has been traditionally used in herbal medicine as a diuretic and carminative. Its diuretic properties have been shown to have the most beneficial impact within the body, primarily with the circulatory and musculoskeletal systems.

Celery seeds contain a powerful compound by the name of 3-n-butylphthalide (3nB) which is responsible for celery's outstanding healing properties, as well as its characteristic flavour and odour. This active compound has beneficial effects with the circulatory system due to its diuretic action. It has the potential to lower blood pressure, thereby promoting a healthy circulatory system. It helps rid the body of excess water, including the release of fluid surrounding the heart, reducing the heart’s workload. Natural Factors Celery Seed Extract is standardized to contain 80% of 3nB.

Celery seed has also been evaluated in the treatment of rheumatism and has shown to reduce pain while increasing mobility and quality of life. Its anti-inflammatory properties appear to help those who suffer from arthritic conditions, and its diuretic properties flush impurities from the joints and organs.
